Oscar de la Rentas Designs Through 7 Decades
American fashion icon Oscar de la Renta died Monday at his home in Kent, Connecticut, after battling cancer. A native of the Dominican Republic who studied at fashion houses in Madrid, Paris and New York, de la Renta had been one of fashion's most successful designers for decades. His elegant designs were regularly worn by celebrities on red carpets and multiple first ladies of the United States.
